An Overview of What the Club Offers
Purpose. Our recreational program is designed to offer soccer in a fun environment for all children in the M.O.T. communities. The emphasis is placed on the players having fun, becoming comfortable and confident on the field and learning the game. We do not keep score or season standings for U12 and younger teams. All players are given the opportunity to play at least 50% of each of their games.
Registration. Please refer to the registration page on this site for complete information on registration and the cost of the program.
Seasons. Our recreational program is offered during the fall, spring and winter (indoor).
Games. Games are played primarily on Saturdays. Some of our older teams are given the chance to play under the lights at our Middletown Village field during the season. U12 and younger teams play their matches at either Silver Lake Park or Middletown Village. U14 and older teams participate in the Northern Delaware Youth Soccer Inter-Club League and play against other area soccer club in the county. These teams play a home and away schedule with at least half of their games being at home. For U8 and older teams, we offer our 3 vs. 3 Tournament each Fall and Spring season.
Practices. Our U8 and older teams are encouraged to practice one evening per week. Organized practices are offered by the club Monday through Thursday evenings generally beginning a week or two before the season begins and continuing until the close of the season. We do not recommend weeknight practices for our U4, U5 and U6 teams during the week although we typically offer weekly open practice sessions for U5 and U6 players who are interested. Adequate field time is given to each team on Saturdays to have a brief practice prior to their schedule game. If the coach and parents agree, these younger teams may hold weeknight practices. No team or player is required to practice more then one night per week.
